- Dave Curry of Drums for One and All hosts a monthly open drum circle at the Milford UU Meeting House at 23 Pine Street, the first Thursday of each month from 7-10pm and also a monthly Drum and Dance event. Check out his website for more info.
- Metrowest Drum Circle is the held the first Sunday of the month at the Plymoth Church in Framingham. There is also a Yahoo Group that you can sign up for on this website to stay updated on what's going on in the Metrowest area.
- The Drum Connection is a solid source for African djembe and dunun instruction for the Greater Boston Area with a satellite class in Natick, MA. They also sell hand drums and accessories and organize trips to Africa. Our own and other drum circles are listed here
- Mohamed Kalifa Camara is currently an assistant professor at the Berklee School of Music and a performer with his group, "The Spirit of Africa" He holds drum classes in Central Square Cambridge, Worcester, MA, and likely elsewhere on a regular basis.
- Mike Morse gives lessons and performances at the UU meeting house in Hudson. He also runs a monthly open drum circle at 2pm on the last Sunday of the month.
- Earth Drum Council is a long standing organization dedicated to hosting and promoting drum and dance events in the Greater Boston Area - primarily on the first Saturday of each month at the First Church Congregational in Harvard Square, Cambridge. They also hold an informal drum and dance gathering each July.
- Moussa Traore gives lessons and performs with his band throughout New England. He is primarily based in the Greater Boston Area.
- Julie Corey's Village Drum Shop, though not local, is only in southern NH and is an excellent source for African drums, clothing, etc. Julie organizes and hosts drum and dance classes in New Hampshire and Maine.
- Dave Kobrenski's Black Bear Moon Music and Cultural Project is not close, but he and his troupe often travel south to support drum events with Julie Corey, The Drum Connection, and Moussa Traore.
- Village Green Rhythm Collective is located in Vermont; however, they host a number of drum circle-/fire circle-oriented gatherings more or less local to Massachusetts.
